There are 4 comments on BU Updates Its COVID Data Dashboard, as Employee Vaccination Deadline Looms

  1. As someone who was called out for noncompliance after sending and/or uploading my documentation to BU 3 times with confirmation emails and all, I don’t know how we can trust the Healthway data. It took 4 months and 4 attempts for my vaccination data to finally appear in Healthway. There is clearly a manual data entry step after the info is uploaded since it lists who entered the data once it’s finally in there so that seems to be a failure point. In a working group of 3, this happened to 2 of us. The third person is both staff and student and they were not told that it needed to be uploaded twice because the faculty/staff and student systems are separate so they were called out on the student side of things and apparently that has also been a widespread problem. As someone who has been working on campus in-person for the past year and following all the rules, unlike many others I’ve seen on campus in this time, this failure on the part of the university makes me quite angry.

    1. I have plenty of qualms.. with leadership decisions..communication.. with people “following the rules” as your comment puts it. But I’ve been extremely impressed with those having to operationalize all of the new, often last second, unique, policies and procedures being put in place. It hasn’t been perfect but from my point of view, the departments and staff trying to get this stuff done, deserve credit.

  2. Is the University capable of confirming the validity of these images of vaccination cards?
And will the booster eventually be required? I would feel much safer if that was the case.
    Thank you for requiring documentation.
