There is 1 comment on BU Spark! Demo Day: Students’ App Helping Identify Racial Bias Named Judges’ Choice Winner

  1. Sounds like we’ve finally reached 1984. This app seems to be designed to identify those who engage in “thoughtcrime”; which good citizens need “help” to avoid because they may not be able to see it for themselves. In other words, the BScanner app searches for “crimethink”. “Crimethink” is the intellectual action of a person who entertains and holds politically unacceptable thoughts. The first step is to identify them and stop their speech. Then we must be sure that those exposed to this wrong thinking are thoroughly re-educated prevent any damage. Good grief. I really hope I’m not the only person who sees the peril of traveling down this road.
