What Is Fall Semester Campus Dining Like? This BU Student Offers a Glimpse
There is nothing normal about the “new normal” in this pandemic, including campus dining. The quintessential college experience of a group of friends sitting at a big table has had to change this year in an effort to keep students, faculty, and staff safe. Campus dining halls that were formerly a place to gather, socialize, and study have made way for grab-and-go packaged food and limited dine-in seating.
So what does on-campus dining at BU look like this year? To find out, we asked Brigid Kane (COM’22) to record her experiences as she traveled from Myles Standish Hall to Marciano Commons at 100 Bay State Road and to Panda Express at the George Sherman Union. Kane’s vlog also shows how easy it is to use the Grubhub app to order from places on campus like Starbucks and Basho Express.
Oh, and Kane, and a few friends, also took advantage of beautiful late summer day to get some takeout for a picnic at Amory Park.
