There are 2 comments on President Trump Has COVID-19. BU Scientists Say There Could Be a Large Cluster in the White House

  1. Very thoughtful opinions by Drs. Corley, Harocas, and Hamer.

As far as the fourth expert, Bhadelia, is concerned, instead of biased political commentary on the President, I was hoping for more scientific COVID insights. Opinions provided can easily be found on Twitter and any biased commercial network where celebrity scientists and physicians criticize the government’s response with impunity. It would be more desirable to give voice to someone more objective, who actually spends time with COVID patients.

Also, instead of continuously blaming the White House’s response, we should ask a basic question: Who is really responsible for US and especially Massachusetts’ insanely high COVID mortality per capita rate (3rd in US and one of the highest in the world if we were to count Massachusetts as a country).

Why was our vast medical complex absolutely unprepared for the pandemic and why was CDC and National Emerging Infectious Disease Laboratory (NEIDL) research focused on Ebola while ignoring coronaviruses and other pathogens that present a real threat to the US population?

I am sure when the epidemic finally ends and emotions subside, the people will be asking those questions.
