There are 2 comments on Reimagining Ansel Adams

  1. My wife and I saw this exhibit after first taking in the wonderful Winnie the Pooh https://www.mfa.org/exhibitions/winnie-the-pooh exhibit. As described in this article, this is not an exhibit of just Ansel Adam’s work, but includes his predecessors, contemporaries and modern photographic artists. It is wonderful to see an Adams piece side-by-side with a contemporary piece that shows the same area today.

Abelardo Morell’s tent-camera photos are amazing in their own right. If you are a fan of Adam’s work, or photography in general, I would recommend a visit to this exhibition.

  2. Great timing since I will be back in Boston in a couple of weeks. When I was in Utah, Wyoming, or California with my camera, I gazed at vistas and imagined Ansel Adams seeing the same landscapes, peaks, and colors. Psyched to see this exhibit!
