The Boston Water Lantern Festival promises to transform the Charles River into a ribbon of light Saturday evening. The daylong family-friendly event includes live entertainment and food trucks. Arrive early so you can decorate your own personalized handmade lantern in preparation for the night’s festivities. Lanterns will begin to be launched into the river starting at sunset.
