There is 1 comment on Digital Leader to Coordinate, Expand BU’s Online Education

  1. We are pleased that Boston University continues to embrace and expand online education opportunities and delighted that Chris Dellarocas has been named the Associate Provost for Digital Learning and Innovation. BU is already a leader in online education and currently offers full online degrees through SSW, CFA, LAW, Sargent, MET and others.

Many universities partner with external vendors to design and support their online programs. We are fortunate that BU has an in-house Office of Distance Education (ODE) which supports all of these programs, by providing instructional design, media support, as well as teaching and learning support. Take a look at their website at http://www.bu.edu/online/programs/.

We are very proud that in September, BUSSW will celebrate the 5th anniversary of the launch of our fully online Master of Social Work (MSW) Program. This online format has allowed us to provide an MSW education to students across the US who might otherwise not be able to access an MSW program. In addition, SSW’s Professional Education Program offers two fully online certificate programs for the continued education of professional social workers.

We are excited about BU’s increasing efforts in digital education and look forward to continued collaboration with the Office of Digital Learning and Innovation and the Office of Distance Education.
