  1. BU has a second alum who also does this — Debbie Gross Saunders from Wizard of Paws in Connecticut. In fact, she was one of the first dog physical therapists. Go Sargent for training these Dog PTs!

    1. This is very interesting to me, as my 1 year old shepard has 50% hip dysplasia in one leg and 25% in the other. I would really like to know how I can help him (Radar) with out hurting him or making it worse. I kind of baby him now and I am not so sure that is a good thing. Can you help me out with that. I have an exercise ball but he is very high strung and I do not know if he would let me use it on him.
Thank you so much. Also can you tell me where Wizard of Paws is?

  2. What a touching story. I’ve never heard a first-hand story of physical therapy for pets, but this is a wonderful post. My best wishes are with Omo. Thanks!

  3. So glad to see attention drawn to this wonderful profession! I recently just discovered it myself when we found out our dog has the equivalent of a torn rotator cuff. We’re into our sixth week of physical therapy which includes him walking on a water treadmill, balance exercises. strenth training, massage and laser therapy. His progress has been remarkable! We couldn’t have done it without the skill and patience of his therapists.
