  1. Congratulations Mr. Jackson! As Eric’s friend and as fellow Terriers, my wife, daughter, and I can all claim to be a part of Eric’s listening audience. I watched (listened) to early Eric hone his skills. One thing one knew about Eric Jackson is that when it came to music, he was already sharp and cutting edge.

  2. Mr. Jackson has been a great ambassador for jazz for decades. However, his designation in this article as “CAS 72” is historically inaccurate. In 1972 and for several decades thereafter, there was no such place as CAS at Boston University. Mr. Jackson attended the College of Liberal Arts at Boston University. The use of the current school designations before they existed is retroactive revisionist history. The correct designation for Mr. Jackson is “CLA 72”
