A neuroscience lecture followed by a tailgate party? There’s only one place where these two events could be scheduled on the same afternoon: a college campus. So it’s fitting that both activities, along with ice sculpting, cheese-tasting, and more, are being offered to the Boston University alumni coming back to school today for the third annual Winterfest Alumni Weekend.
Winterfest kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. with a pregame reception in the Agganis Arena Friends Lounge with coach Dennis Wolff, followed by the men’s basketball team’s contest with the University of Vermont. Events, including lectures with BU professors and men’s and women’s hockey games, continue throughout the weekend. For a full schedule, along with presenter information, click here.
Registration starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, and there will be a full-day Kid’s Fest program at the Fitness and Recreation Center on Saturday. Paid parking for Friday and Saturday Winterfest activities will be available in Agganis Arena lots C2 and A (under the arena); paid parking for Sunday’s women’s hockey game will be in the Babcock Street parking lot. Street parking is permitted along Commonwealth Avenue and adjacent side streets. Boston and Brookline parking regulations are strictly enforced.
