Art history major wins grant to bring art history to local schools

Art history major Laura Zientek (CAS’07) recently received a grant from mtvU, a television network for college students, to start a program that will bring fine arts to Boston public schools with no art program. Zientek created Student Studio so youngsters could have the opportunity to learn art history.
Student Studio will assign BU students to teach art history to the schoolchildren. The $750 mtvU grant was designed to cover the program’s start-up costs and will buy art supplies for the program’s students.
