{"id":16156,"date":"2021-01-23T14:53:28","date_gmt":"2021-01-23T19:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/archaeology\/?page_id=16156"},"modified":"2023-08-10T16:33:28","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T20:33:28","slug":"learning-outcomes-portfolios","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/archaeology\/academics\/undergraduate-program\/learning-outcomes-portfolios\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning Outcomes Portfolios"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Undergraduate Major Portfolio Guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>Major portfolios are intended for students to document their capstone accomplishments in the program and for the purposes of annual assessment of the program by the faculty.<\/p>\n<h4>The AR major\u2019s portfolio contains the following materials provided by the student as PDF files:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A paper written in AR450<\/li>\n<li>A 2-3 page summary of the student\u2019s field research (AR503 or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>A copy of the student\u2019s honors thesis or IWD (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>\u00a0The AR major\u2019s portfolio will contain the following other materials provided by faculty\/staff:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A written evaluation of the student\u2019s performance in AR 450 by the instructor of record<\/li>\n<li>A written exit interview provided to the student by program staff prior to graduation (the student\u2019s identity is anonymous in these interviews and all are uploaded by departmental staff to a single folder)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A record of the portfolio will be kept\u00a0in digital form mounted as a folder on the centralized server maintained by the Archaeology Program.<\/p>\n<h4>Server Address<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/archaeology\/how-to-connect-to-the-portfolio-server\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>For Macs<\/strong> (write it exactly as it is written below):<br \/>\nsmb:\/\/casfsb.bu.edu\/Archaeology\u00a0Major Portfolio<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Windows<\/strong> (write it exactly as it is written below):<br \/>\n\\\\casfsb.bu.edu\\Archaeology Major Portfolio<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Undergraduate Major Portfolio Guidelines Major portfolios are intended for students to document their capstone accomplishments in the program and for the purposes of annual assessment of the program by the faculty.
