Professor Mary Beaudry published a highly cited co-authored article in American Antiquity
Professor Mary Beaudry in 2014 was coauthor (with Keith W. Kintigh, Jeffrey H. Altschul, Robert D. Drennan, Ann P. Kinzig, Timothy A. Kohler, W. Fredrick Limp, Herbert D.G. Maschner, William K. Michener, Timothy R. Pauketat, Peter Peregrine, Jeremy A. Sabloff, Tony J. Wilkinson, Henry T. Wright, and Melinda A. Zeder) of an article, “Forum: Grand Challenges for Archaeology” that presented the outcomes of an NSF-sponsored workshop aimed at answering the question: What are archaeology’s most important scientific challenges? It was published in American Antiquity, ranked 8th worldwide among archaeological journals, with an abbreviated version appearing in PNAS. According to Google Scholar, as of November, 2016, the American Antiquity article is the most-cited article every published in that journal—evidence that the article has attracted much attention and fostered considerable debate within the profession.
