The subject of the talk will be \u201cMobilizing Women&#8217;s Rights and Human Rights in War.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span>Marino is a 2015-2016 visiting scholar at the American Academy of Arts &amp; Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in history from Stanford in 2013 and is now assistant professor at the Ohio State University. Her dissertation explores Pan-American feminism from the 1920s to the 1940s,\u00a0and is currently being turned into a book manuscript provisionally titled <em>La Vanguardia Feminista: Pan-American Feminism and the Rise of International Women&#8217;s Rights, 1915-1946<\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<span>Her article, \u201cTransnational Pan-American Feminism: The Friendship of Bertha Lutz and Mary Wilhelmine Williams, 1926-1944\u201d was published in the Journal of Women\u2019s History in Summer, 2014, and her article &#8220;Marta Vergara, Popular-Front Pan-American Feminism, and the Transnational Struggle for Working Women\u2019s Rights in the 1930s&#8221;\u00a0was published in Gender &amp; History in Fall 2014.
