To participate in any of our \u00a0at studies, call us at\u00a0<strong>617-353-2706<\/strong>\u00a0or email us at <strong>brainrec@bu.edu<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bilingual Treatment Study: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> Spanish\/English<\/strong> speakers with a\u00a0history of stroke to participate in a study about the effect of language treatment in bilingual adults\u00a0with word finding difficulties and problems to communicate in one or both languages. The study\u00a0involves the comprehensive assessment of language abilities and treatment focused on\u00a0communication skills. Treatment may vary between 2 and 5 months delivered at no cost, and can\u00a0be completed in person or over video-conferencing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=B9v_ZqF2NJI\">Watch our Recruitment Video<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mandarin\/English<\/strong> speakers with a\u00a0history of stroke to participate in a study about the effect of language treatment in bilingual adults\u00a0with word finding difficulties and problems to communicate in one or both languages. The study\u00a0involves the comprehensive assessment of language abilities and treatment focused on\u00a0communication skills. Treatment may vary between 2 and 5 months delivered at no cost, and can\u00a0be completed in person or over video-conferencing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brain Imaging Study:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>English <\/strong> speakers with a history of stroke or no history of neurologic\/psychiatric illness to participate in a study about the relationship between language and other cognitive abilities, as well the reorganization of the language system after a stroke. The study involves the comprehensive assessment of cognitive abilities. This is done remotely over video-conferencing. The study also involves an in-person brain scanning session (MRI).
