Governor Healey Proclaims June 2026 National Aphasia Awareness Month in Massachusetts
BU’s Aphasia Resource Center worked with local advocates and NAA Ambassadors, Tim Sullivan, Joyce Teitlebaum and Kristin Corcoran to secure the proclamation from the Governor Healey’s office. This initiative was conceived and coordinated by the National Aphasia Association and recognizes the importance of increasing public awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting communication access for people living with aphasia.

Local advocates, people with aphasia, family members, care partners, and organizations including the BU Aphasia Resource Center are using the month to educate the public and celebrate the resilience of people living with aphasia.
