As a first generation African immigrant to this country, I learned early that education equates to many forms of freedom. After studying Psychology and African American History in college, I knew there was power in educating our youth. This is why I have spent over 25 years learning, teaching, counseling, mentoring and leading within urban schools. In 2015, I earned a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE)/ School Leadership Program and became a licensed principal. As an Operational Leader for The Boston Public Schools, it is an honor to support school leaders as they galvanize and guide their teaching and learning communities to close the opportunity and achievement gaps currently confronting BPS students.
