Michael A. Rosario
Doctoral Candidate, School of Medicine, Boston University
Boston University School of Medicine
Michael is a Crucian Virgin Islander whose experiences both at home and in the continental United States have brought him to examine how our contextual experiences, specifically those related to stress and trauma, influence and change the brain. He uses cognitive neuroscience techniques like magnetic resonance imaging to investigate how chronic stress (e.g., due to racism) affects brain function. He is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a Health Policy Research Scholar and is a Neuroscience Scholars Program Fellow for the Society for Neuroscience.
