
Caty Taborda
Project Director | Interim Manager, Affiliates Program
Caty Taborda is a Project Director and Interim Manager of the Affiliates Program at Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research. Formally trained as a sociologist, she is committed to designing and executing ethical, generative qualitative studies to inform sustainable change.
Caty’s expertise lies at the intersections of organizations, culture, and structural inequalities. She has worked in a variety of academic, medical research, and nonprofit settings, all of which inform her collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving. At CAR, she works across teams to create impactful research that supports antiracist action.
Prior to joining CAR, Caty earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She also holds a B.A. in Sociology from Hamilton College and an M.A. in Sociology and Women’s & Gender Studies from Brandeis University.
