Her background is in human and veterinary medicine and ecology and evolutionary biology. Prior to beginning her work at Boston University, Zoe received her Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Tulane University. She fell in love with the study of primates while researching white-faced capuchin monkeys in Santa Rosa National Park, Costa Rica.
