Prof. Hefner was elected to a three year term as President of the American Institute for Indonesian Studies (AIFIS). AIFIS is the US’s main sponsor and clearing house for research on and in Indonesia, and has offices in Jakarta and at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Congratulations, Prof. Hefner!
