Zoe Johnson is interested in knowledge production in American popular film and television as a site of epistemic in/justice, with a focus on gender/queer studies, disability studies and cultural history. She is particularly curious about how stories construct social possibilities and limitations and encourage us to imagine alternative futures. 

Other areas of study include narrative and performance theory, ethics, the history of medicine, and playwriting. She is currently a board member for Playset Theater, located in Silver Spring, MD.
