Carolyn is interested in cultures of resistance within Black and Indigenous communities on Turtle Island, particularly between the American Revolution and Reconstruction within communities and coalitions for freedom and sovereignty.  Carolyn is engaged by the implications these narratives have on current conversations about reparations and Land Back. 

Before coming to BU Carolyn worked in public programming and arts education in museums and, most recently, in journalism and farming. Carolyn studied multicultural theater, history, and Black studies.
