C. Chua"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jilene A. C. Chua is Assistant Professor in Asian American History. She teaches courses related to Asian American history, fashion and US empire, and global Philippines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her research on twentieth-century Philippines intersects US empire, Chinese migration, and legal history. Her current book project, <em>Marginal Cosmopolitans, <\/em>investigates US colonial Philippines from the perspective of the Philippine Chinese in the first half of the 20th c.
