{"id":10833,"date":"2020-10-27T08:06:46","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T12:06:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www-staging.bu.edu\/amnesp\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=10833"},"modified":"2025-08-20T09:03:00","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T13:03:00","slug":"fallon-murphy","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/americanstudies\/profile\/fallon-murphy\/","title":{"rendered":"Fallon Murphy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Fallon Murphy&#8217;s dissertation charts how African American writers, such as Richard Wright, Langston Hughes, Alice Walker, Toni Morrison, and members of the Cambridge-based Dark Room Collective, sought, preserved, and reimagined institutional archives and its absences as poetic and rhetorical strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>She has a chapter forthcoming in the book <em>Faulknerian Anniversaries<\/em> (2026), published by the University of Mississippi Press, and has published or will publish in the <em>Los Angeles Review of Books<\/em>, <em>Reviews in Digital Humanities<\/em>, <em>The Papers of the Bibliographic Society of America<\/em>, and <em>Boston Art Review<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of teaching and researching, Fallon enjoys collaborating with many digital humanists on pedagogical projects. Her work in the digital humanities is recognized by the MLA\u2019s Public Humanities Incubator program in 2022.
