Her dissertation \u201cPhotography\u2019s Other<br \/>\nWorkshops: Crafting Community Photojournalism in American High Schools, 1967-<br \/>\n1989\u201d considers student documentary publications as alternative practices. She<br \/>\nexplores how students, teachers, and community members tested out strategies for<br \/>\novertly collaborative and deeply localized photojournalism in the 1970s and \u201880s.<\/p>\n<p>As an undergraduate, Jesse studied American studies and photographic practice at<br \/>\nColby College.
