The deadline to apply is December 15, 2026.<\/i>**<\/p>\n<p>Undergraduate Admissions are handled centrally at Boston University. Application information for the BA in American Studies can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/admissions\/\">bu.edu\/admissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants to the graduate programs should use the online application, which is available on the Graduate School site: <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.bu.edu\/apply\/\"><strong>Online application form<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The American Studies Program at Boston University offers three graduate level degrees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MA in Preservation Studies<\/li>\n<li>JD\/MA in Law &amp; Preservation Studies<\/li>\n<li>PhD in American Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information on admission to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/preservation\/\">Preservation Studies Program<\/a> can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/bu.edu\/preservation\/admissions\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The PhD program only accepts applications for fall admission, and the deadline to submit your application is <strong>December 15.<\/strong> Please note the date change from years past. <span>For more information about the PhD program see this year\u2019s <a href=\"\/americanstudies\/files\/2025\/10\/25-AmSt-PhD-Admissions-FINAL.pdf\">brochure<\/a>. The Graduate School of Arts &amp; Sciences does offer Application Fee Waivers for individuals who participate in specific programs or who have documented financial hardship.
