Join Our Registry<\/a>
\nIn order to participate in some of our research at the BU ADRC, we ask that you join our registry. Your participation in the registry helps us determine your eligibility for currently enrolled studies. Our main registry is our main study, Health Outreach Program for the Elderly (HOPE). Please read the following information carefully. Make sure that you understand it to your complete satisfaction before agreeing to participate.<\/p>\n\n

Key: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), Alzheimer’s Disease (AD)<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We have several different types of ongoing studies at the ADRC. Studies of former contact sport athletes, military veterans, and survivors of intimate partner violence. Each study has its own goals.<\/p>\n

Memory Aging Studies<\/h3>
Our memory and aging studies help us to learn about the changes that occur in people\u2019s memory as they age.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Clinical Trial Studies<\/h3>
Clinical trials (or treatment trials) and prevention trials help to determine if new or currently used medications can prevent Alzheimer\u2019s disease or slow its progression.
\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Family and Genetics Studies<\/h3>
Our family and genetic studies look at the link between Alzheimer\u2019s disease and genetics; these studies help us to understand genetic risk factors associated with Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Caregiving Studies<\/h3>
Caregiving studies specifically focus on issues related to activities in daily life, such as driving, coping emotionally with caregiver activities, and support strategies for caregivers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Imaging Studies<\/h3>
Our imaging studies help us learn how brain images can provide more information about diagnosing and detecting Alzheimer\u2019s disease. If we can identify changes that are occurring in the brain throughout the disease process, we can help to diagnose and treat people with Alzheimer\u2019s disease as early as possible in the disease process.
