Whether it&#8217;s by helping us provide financial aid, supporting our professors and their research, or creating a great campus culture with tons of student clubs and activities, gifts of every size help keep the campus humming.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to you, BU has a lot to be proud of. To name just a few items:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BU ranks 27th on the \u201cBest US Colleges\u201d list from <em>The Wall Street Journal\/Times Higher Education<\/em>\u2014and 10th for most employable graduates.<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s also tied for 41st place in the <em>U.S. News &#038; World Report<\/em> rankings this year, and 17th on the <em>Newsweek<\/em> list of Top 50 Best Colleges in Big Cities.<\/li>\n<li>The University\u2019s stature as a Tier 1 research institution is impressive: it\u2019s one of just 71 members of the prestigious Association of American Universities, and faculty received more than $574 million in research awards in FY22.<\/li>\n<li>Our students come from more than 115 countries and all 50 states, and 19 percent of them are in their family\u2019s first generation to attend college.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Consistent support from annual donors helps make all of this possible. And fiscal 2023, which ended June 30, saw some of the most generous annual giving yet. The numbers help tell the story:<\/p>\n<p><strong>47,000+ <\/strong>donors<br \/>\n<strong>$23 million+<\/strong> in gifts<br \/>\n<strong>29,101 <\/strong>Loyalty Society members<br \/>\n<strong>5,731 <\/strong>1839 Society members<br \/>\n<strong>73 <\/strong>countries where our donors live<\/p>\n<p>And generosity isn\u2019t just about dollars. Terriers give back in many other ways as well.
