Head over to the Los Angeles LGBT Center for a complimentary reception including beer, wine, and appetizers, followed by a screening of the film. A special focus of the Lavender Fund will be on programs and activities that embrace intersectional identities and lift up historically underrepresented LGBTQIA+ voices within the school and the greater legal LGBTQIA+ community.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nThe <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/thecenter\/?utm_medium=bualumni&amp;utm_source=link&amp;utm_campaign=website_bualumni&amp;utm_term=blog&amp;utm_content=lgbtia_staff_center_page\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"\">LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty &#038; Staff<\/a><\/strong> engages the BU community to foster a sense of belonging and connectedness for LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff; increase the visibility of LGBTQIA+ resources, research, and scholarship; celebrate the contributions of the diverse LGBTQIA+ community at BU; and improve recruitment and retention of LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff in the development of an inclusive and equitable workplace. The center is expected to open at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year at 808 Commonwealth Avenue, near spaces like the Howard Thurman Center.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h4 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Service PRIDE | Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine<\/h4><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nThe vision of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/busm\/student-affairs\/student-life\/service-learning\/busm-service-pride\/?utm_medium=bualumni&amp;utm_source=link&amp;utm_campaign=website_bualumni&amp;utm_term=blog&amp;utm_content=pride_month_events_resources\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Service PRIDE<\/a><\/strong> is to become the first Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) specific service learning group at Boston University Chobanian &#038; Avedisian School of Medicine.
