Jesse Belanger (ENG’16)

Member, BU Alumni Council

Jesse is an engineering manager at ezCater, the nation’s largest online marketplace for corporate catering and leading food for work platform.

He graduated from Boston University (ENG’16) with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a concentration in Technology Innovation. On campus, he enjoyed using his extracurricular time to support the engineering community. He was a Dean’s Host, Learning Assistant, and an ambassador through the Technology Innovation Scholars program (which does engineering outreach with middle and high school students).

Joining ezCater upon graduation, Jesse began his career there as a software engineer. He was one of the first 200 employees and first 20 engineers. Over the past eight years, he has grown alongside the company, stepping into engineering management as the company has scaled.

Staying active in the BU community has become a significant part of his life. He values giving back to support current students and connecting with fellow alumni. He has served as both a Spark! Mentor and an ENG mentor, and is a frequent volunteer at student networking nights. He currently funds a scholarship in support of engineering students with financial need from under-represented backgrounds. Known for his enthusiastic participation, Jesse has become a familiar face at on-campus events, whether as a volunteer or attendee. He most recently served two terms on the BU Young Alumni Council before transitioning to the BU Alumni Council.
