Alumni Weekend 2026 is in the books!

This Alumni Weekend, thousands of Terriers returned to the place where it all began! Across three action-packed days, the BU community reconnected with classmates and reflected on all their favorite memories from their time on Comm Ave.
Alumni enjoyed a lineup of 70 events, as attendees explored art exhibitions, networked with students at the Student Alumni Association Coffee Chat, and engaged in friendly competition at Taproom Trivia. The Classes of 2016 and 2021 honored their 5- and 10-year reunions with a party at the Dahod Family Alumni Center. One of the biggest celebrations of the weekend was the 50th reunion for the Class of 1976. These alumni officially became Golden Terriers, honoring the milestone with special programming such as a boat cruise on Boston Harbor, a brunch and pinning ceremony, and more.
Terrier pride was in the air at the Back to BU Beach Festival—the largest event of the weekend—where alumni soaked up the sun and cheered on live student performances. It was also the perfect day for a cookout, as Woodman’s of Essex served up lobster rolls, fried clams, and delicious sides. Terriers rounded out the afternoon with a Campus Expo highlighting all our schools and colleges have to offer, and of course, plenty of photos with Rhett.
The BU community came together to celebrate distinguished alumni at awards ceremonies across the three days, culminating in the 78th Best of BU Alumni Awards. The BU Alumni Association and the University recognized Colonel Bob Hines (ENG’97), Dushanka Kleinman (SDM’76,’76), Karen LaFrazia (SSW’89), Kevin Lofton (Questrom’76), and Young Alumni awardee Ixchel Lemus-Bromley (CGS’17, COM’19) for the highest honor bestowed upon BU alumni.
