Rachel Mennies

Rachel Mennies (www.rachelmennies.com) is the author of The Glad Hand of God Points Backwards (Texas Tech University Press, 2014), winner of the 2013 Walt McDonald First-Book Prize in Poetry, and the chapbook No Silence in the Fields (Blue Hour Press, 2012). Her poetry has recently appeared in Black Warrior Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Drunken Boat, Colorado Review, Crazyhorse, and elsewhere, and has been reprinted at Poetry Daily. Mennies now serves as the series editor (2015– ) for the Walt McDonald First-Book Prize. She teaches writing at Carnegie Mellon University and has been part of AGNI’s editorial team since 2009.
