Lt Col Treavor Johnson

Lieutenant Colonel Treavor G. Johnson is the Professor of Aerospace Studies, Chairman of the Department of Aerospace Studies and Commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 355 at Boston University. He is responsible for commanding, educating, training, developing and commissioning approximately 55 cadets from as many as 9 major universities in the Boston area.

Lt Col Johnson was commissioned in the Air Force in 1998 through AFROTC at Boston University; however, did not enter the Air Force until 2000 after completing a Master’s program at Carnegie Mellon University. He has served in a variety of assignments to include Air Forces Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, and multiple communications squadrons. Lt Col Johnson has deployed to Afghanistan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia along with multiple trips to the Middle East in direct support of U.S. Special Operations Command. Prior to his current position, he was a Planner, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Cyber Strategy in the Cyberspace Operations Centre, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Belgium in which he developed strategic and operational cyberspace effects options to contribute to effective multi-domain deterrence activities, or to provide defensive capabilities to protect the 31-member Alliance.
