Marie has been teaching middle school art for a little over 10 years. She received her BA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University with a concentration in printmaking. After graduating in 2004 from Tyler, she continued her studies at Rosemont College in the k-12 Pennsylvania Art Teaching Certification Program. She graduated with a PA K-12 Art Certification in 2007 and immediately began teaching art. Currently, she is pursuing her Master\u2019s in Art Education at Boston University. Marie is committed to helping her students discover themselves through creating art while helping them to understanding the world around them and how they fit in society. Through art history, social justice, and exploration of self through art, Marie is committed in preparing her students to contribute to 21<sup>st<\/sup><span>\u00a0<\/span>century society.<\/p>\n<p>Marie joined the TAT program to learn about the many different African cultures, their art, and the history of the diaspora. She is excited to deepen her knowledge about African cultures and the diaspora and how it has influenced art, visual, and pop culture in the United States.
