She currently teaches World Civilizations, AP European History, and International Politics to students in grades 9-12 at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio. Margaret has a Bachelor\u2019s in Secondary Education and a Master\u2019s in Education. Past professional experience includes middle school teaching, professional development coordination, and mentoring teachers in the Marygrove College MAT program.\u00a0 This year, Margaret began collaborating with a local university on a college credit-bearing independent study project for students in her International Politics class. Over the course of the school year, students partner with high school students in Rwanda, Brazil, China, and Spain to develop and present a cooperative research project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Margaret\u2019s interest in Teaching Africa Teacher Certification stems from a personal desire to enhance her content knowledge of Africa and develop a more culturally responsive curriculum for her diverse student population. Content interests include modern Africa and the impact of imperialism.
