  • Ends: 7:00 am on Tuesday, July 7, 2020
Join us for a discussion of Jonas Caprignano’s 2015 film Mediterranea. The film is based on true events – namely the anti-immigrant riots in the southern Italian town of Rosarno. It traces the perilous journey of two close friends from Burkina Faso in West Africa who cross the Mediterranean to settle in Italy and the struggles they face upon arrival to survive and to avoid deportation. The conversation will be led by Daniela Caruso, Professor of Law and Director of the Center for the Study of Europe and will take place via Zoom. Details provided on registration.
