These fellowships may provide funding for portions of undergraduate study, for graduate study, or even for travel and\/or independent research not tied to a degree program.<\/p>\n<p>The Office of Fellowships &amp; Scholarships\u00a0(situated in the Office of the Provost) provides information, outreach, and support to high-achieving Boston University students who may be candidates for these nationally-competitive awards.\u00a0 Opportunities requiring the University\u2019s endorsement, such as the Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, DAAD, Luce, Carnegie Jr. Fellows, Goldwater, Truman, and Udall scholarships and fellowships are supported and administered through this office. I look forward to meeting you and guiding you through the rewarding and fulfilling process of applying for these competitive awards. <span>Please d<\/span><span>on\u2019t hesitate to stop by, call, or write.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Jeff<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>I am delighted to be a part of BU\u2019s\u00a0thriving community of students, scholars, and staff and to share my excitement for this work. \u00a0Before arriving at BU in 2017,\u00a0I spent many years advising students and working closely with faculty\u00a0at Harvard\u2019s Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships. I also served as a Title IX Coordinator for undergraduates\u00a0and earlier in my career, I spent several years providing program oversight and advising in the Department of English.<\/p>\n<p>I am a proud Terrier alum with a Master\u2019s degree in Higher Education Policy, Planning, and Administration from BU\u2019s School of Education. As an administrative coordinator, Emily is responsible for event planning, communications, hiring student employees, and expense reports for the 5 departments within experiential learning. Her contributions to the department increase visibility for the Office of Fellowships &amp; Scholarships and Global House through her communication strategy by implementing the usage of digital signage, email blasts, and involvement at campus wide events.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Boston University in 2025, Emily interned at the Nantucket based non-profit, the Maria Mitchell Association. She has experience in event planning, donor relations, and communications management from her role as development and event planning intern during summer 2022 and 2023. Emily was responsible for planning fundraising events and collaborated on Stargazer Gala with a team of contracted event planners.
