But the process takes time because there are several steps and various faculty and staff involved in reviewing each course syllabus.<br \/>\n<\/div> <div class=\"another-div\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/admissions\/files\/2018\/07\/syllabus-examine.jpg\" alt=\"syllabus examine\" width=\"151\" height=\"425\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-20656\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/admissions\/files\/2018\/07\/syllabus-examine.jpg 151w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/admissions\/files\/2018\/07\/syllabus-examine-107x300.jpg 107w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 151px) 100vw, 151px\" \/><strong>Each course syllabus is sent to a faculty evaluator<\/strong> in the BU school or college that offers a similar course. This means your syllabi might go to a number of different departments, including some outside the school or college to which you applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The faculty review each course syllabus individually<\/strong> to determine if it\u2019s equivalent to any BU courses that fulfill specific major requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The faculty return their evaluations<\/strong> to the appropriate academic departments. The results are then returned to the Registrar or International Admissions and processed to your student record.<\/p>\n<p><\/div> <div class=\"section-title2\"><\/p>\n<h2>What can you expect from your credit evaluation?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>BU generally awards credit for liberal arts courses completed with at least a grade C (or equivalent) at regionally accredited universities.<\/li>\n<li>Professional courses may or may not transfer at the discretion of the BU school or college to which you\u2019ve applied and been admitted.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure to regularly check your MyBU Applicant Portal to see all updates regarding your transfer credit evaluation.
