The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/careers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Career Development (CCD)<\/a> works with you to make informed decisions about academic choices and offers workshops, networking, and resume writing guidance to help you prepare for a future career. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/erc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Educational Resource Center (ERC)<\/a> helps you develop the academic skills required for BU\u2019s rigorous programs through peer tutoring, language group discussions, and time management, writing, and test-prep workshops. In addition to these two centers, students can access the Arts &amp; Sciences Writing Program, the Pre-Professional Advising office, and the College of Arts &amp; Sciences Student Academic Life office, all housed within the Center for Student Services.<\/p>\n<h3>Libraries<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/library\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/a>BU has many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/library\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">libraries on campus<\/a> to assist you with your studies. They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mugar Memorial Library (general library for campus)<\/li>\n<li>African Studies Library<\/li>\n<li>Astronomy Library<\/li>\n<li>Beebe Communications Library<\/li>\n<li>Pickering Educational Resources Library<\/li>\n<li>Frederick S. Pardee Management Library<\/li>\n<li>Music Library<\/li>\n<li>Science &amp; Engineering Library<\/li>\n<li>Special Collections<\/li>\n<li>Alumni Medical Library<\/li>\n<li>Pappas Law Library<\/li>\n<li>School of Theology Library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The BU Libraries also have the facility of a Web Catalog. It includes search, reserve services, borrowing records, book renewal, library purchase requests, and other general information. The <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/bu.bncollege.com\/webapp\/wcs\/stores\/servlet\/BNCBHomePage?storeId=13555&amp;catalogId=10001&amp;langId=-1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston University Campus Store<\/a> has tons of great gear to get you excited. They will also have the textbooks required for your classes and offer a selection of both new and used copies. Students can reserve textbooks online for in-store pickup. Some widely used college textbooks are also available for download. You may also purchase bedding and other items for your dorm room through the bookstore.<\/p>\n<h3>Financial Aid<\/h3>\n<p>Now that you have been admitted to Boston University, we are sure you have questions about financing your BU education. BU Financial Assistance is ready to help you\u2013from acknowledging your financial aid award to budgeting expenses with a payment plan to managing your money. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/new-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more<\/a> and follow the next steps to stay on track.<\/p>\n<h3>First Generation Connect<\/h3>\n<p>For those of you who are the first, or among the first, in your families to attend college, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/usc\/g1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">First Generation Connect<\/a> is a resource that helps ensure a smooth transition from high school to college life and beyond. Offered by our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/usc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">University Service Center<\/a>, the program offers social events, welcome hours in the summer for new students, and workshops throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n<h3>Student Employment<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/seo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Employment Office<\/a> works with currently enrolled undergraduate students to assist them in their on-campus employment endeavors, through the Job Board and Quickie Job Services. They also assist students with the payroll process.<\/p>\n<h3>Student Health Services<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Health Services<\/a> is a medical services facility available to all full-time Boston University students. The services available include a Walk-In Medical Clinic, gynecological and family planning services, a mental health clinic, referrals to specialists, and an infirmary.<\/p>\n<h3>Office of the University Registrar<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Office of the University Registrar<\/a> maintains student records, issues transcripts, verifies attendance, issues diplomas, produces class schedules, supervises registration, and records grades.
