BU Admissions is located at the Alan and Sherry Leventhal Center.

Public Transportation

• The Massachusetts Bay Transit System (MBTA), Green Line B train passes right through campus. Locals refer to the subway as the T.
• The BU East stop on the B line is the closest to our office, and approximately a 5-min walk to the Leventhal Center.
• Directions from BU East: Walk north and cross Commonwealth Avenue, then take Granby Street straight ahead. In one block you will reach Bay State Road, where you can turn left. You will then see the red awning of the Leventhal Center ahead, your final destination.

Parking on Campus

Parking at BU is limited near our visitors center. If you are driving to campus, we recommend you arrive 20-30 minutes early so you have ample time to locate parking prior to your visit.

There is no Weekday visitor parking in the CAS Lot (Lot J) at 240 Bay State Road across the street from the Leventhal Center, as this lot is reserved for those with University parking permits. 

The City of Boston has parking meters available along Bay State Road and Commonwealth Avenue near our office at 233 Bay State Road. These metered spaces are limited. If you are able to find metered parking, we recommend parking in front of buildings between 100 Bay State Road and 200 Bay State Road. Meters take credit cards or quarters or can be paid using the Park Boston app. Parking Meters are free in Boston on holidays.

For Spring 2024, visitor parking has also been made available for admissions visitors in the following locations:

On Saturdays from March 30 to April 27 only, parking will be available in the CAS Lot (Lot J) at 240 Bay State Road across the street from the Leventhal Center for $12. Please take a ticket at the kiosk at the entrance of the lot, and when exiting enter your ticket along with a credit card to pay the $12. There is signage that this lot is reserved for permit holders, but that does not pertain to these Saturdays.

On weekdays, Agganis Arena Garage (Lot A) at 925 Commonwealth Avenue (entrance behind the building via Buick Street or Harry Agganis Way). This location is a 16-minute walk from the Admissions Office in the Leventhal Center. When parking at Agganis Arena, please press the Blue TICKET button on the kiosk at the entrance and take your parking ticket. Your ticket from the Agganis Arena Garage can be validated at the front desk of our office at 233 Bay State Road at a reduced guest rate of $12. You must validate your ticket before paying for your parking. After your visit and before returning to your vehicle please insert your validated parking ticket at one of the parking pay stations (located near the elevator vestibules within the Agganis Arena Garage). Then follow the directions to make payment (credit card only) and be sure to take your paid parking ticket with you, so you may insert it at the exit parking kiosk in order to raise the parking gate. If you require assistance at entry, when paying, or at exit, press the assistance button on the top right corner of the kiosk and someone will assist you promptly. Without validation, parking is a max rate of $25 on weekdays and $12 on weekends with the exception of days and times with conflicting Arena event rates.
