A non-unit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/met\/programs\/food-and-wine\/\">Professional Certificate in Wine Studies<\/a> is also available.<\/p>\n<h2>Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Detailed knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, and styles, and understanding of the inherent characteristics of wine.<\/li>\n<li>Refined tasting ability and ability to identify the key sensory characteristics of the world\u2019s varietal wines.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the historical, cultural, genetic, viticultural, enological, and market context for the evolution of vine varieties and their wines.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication about wine and the ability to speak and write confidently about current issues in the wine industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Admissions Information<\/h2>\n<p>For current admissions information, please visit the Metropolitan College <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/met\/admissions\/\">website<\/a>.
