For undergraduate students transferring into one of BU\u2019s full-time on-campus schools\/colleges from an outside institution, a maximum of 68 external or transfer units can be applied toward degree requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>Graduate Programs<\/h3>\n<h4>Full-Time MBA and MBA+MSDT<\/h4>\n<p>Students in a full-time, single-degree MBA program must complete 40 units (of the required 64 units) at Boston University Questrom School of Business. MBA+MSDT students must complete 34 units toward the MBA and 40 toward the MSDT (of the required 84 units) at Boston University Questrom School of Business.<\/p>\n<h4>Part-Time MBA<\/h4>\n<p>Students in the Part-Time MBA program must complete 31 units toward the degree (of the required 55 units) at Boston University Questrom School of Business.<\/p>\n<h4>MSBA<\/h4>\n<p>Students cannot transfer units toward the MSBA degree and unit requirements unless an exception has been explicitly approved and communicated in writing by the Faculty Director and PDC.<\/p>\n<h4>MSMFT<\/h4>\n<p>Students cannot transfer units toward the MS in Mathematical Finance &amp; Financial Technology degree and unit requirements. Students must complete 39 units in residence at Boston University Questrom School of Business.<\/p>\n<h4>MiM<\/h4>\n<p>Given the integrated sequencing of the MiM program, there can be no transfer of units and\/or substitutions made in the program. To earn the MiM degree, students must complete all 36 required units for the program in residence at Boston University Questrom School of Business.<\/p>\n<h4>Online MBA<\/h4>\n<p>All units must be completed at Boston University.<\/p>\n<h4>PhD<\/h4>\n<p>Students must receive approval from their Faculty Mentor to request a transfer of units, then complete application forms, which are available in the Specialty Master\u2019s &amp; PhD Center. Regardless of the number of units transferred, all students are required to meet the residency requirement of 32 units completed at Boston University in order to earn the PhD degree.<\/p>\n<p>The PhD program is a residential program. Students must live locally so that they may actively participate in regular departmental activities and contribute to the everyday research culture.
