Only your faculty member can grant you an Incomplete, and the two of you must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/files\/2017\/06\/Incomplete-Grade-Form.pdf\">Incomplete Grade Form<\/a>\u00a0that lays out the conditions for completion.<\/p>\n<p>If the faculty member thinks you can reasonably complete the course successfully after the term has ended, they may\u2014with your agreement\u2014grant you an \u201cI\u201d grade. If you take an I grade, you do not earn units for the course until you complete it.<\/p>\n<p>You and the faculty member will agree on the work that remains to be done and the deadline for completing it. If you successfully complete the work within the time allotted, your grade will be converted to a regular letter grade and you will earn the units for the course.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not successfully complete the work on time, your grade will be converted either to an \u201cF\u201d or to the grade you would have earned at the end of the term.<\/p>\n<p>Incompletes must be resolved by the agreed-upon date, or within one year, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>University Policy Faculty of Computing &amp; Data Sciences Policy The policy\u00a0regarding taking an \u201cIncomplete\u201d can be found in the Bulletin.
