Students complete teaching observations, reflect on- field experiences, evaluate teaching practice against professional teaching standards, and develop and implement micro-teaching lessons to prepare for their practicum. \t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"\/academics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/wed-wl-504\/\"><strong>WED WL 504: Student Teaching Seminar in World Language Education<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tThis course supports students in their World Language education teaching practicum. Students explore standards-based instructional methods, models of teaching, discuss underlying theories, and examine current issues in the field. Students develop a deep understanding of ACTFL Proficiency levels, assess learner proficiency, develop performance assessments, conduct Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPIs), and develop thematic curricula and units from a social justice perspective.\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"\/academics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/wed-wl-513\/\"><strong>WED WL 513: Input & Interaction in the World Language Classroom<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tThis course focuses on developing and demonstrating two essential principles of world language teaching: using the target language and supporting learner interactions. Students develop lessons and complete micro-teachings.\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"\/academics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/wed-wl-514\/\"><strong>WED WL 514: Inclusive Principles & Practices in World Language Education<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tExplores teaching for justice in world language education by developing intercultural citizenship and disrupting inequality. Policies of exclusion, barriers to access, and classroom practices are examined to support an inclusive classroom where all learners experience success. 4 cr. Students observe and critique teaching videos, develop lessons, and engage in micro-teachings.
