{"id":69933,"date":"2017-05-15T13:47:33","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T17:47:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/?page_id=69933"},"modified":"2025-03-28T11:35:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T15:35:05","slug":"minor-in-autism-spectrum-disorders","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/academics\/wheelock\/programs\/special-education\/minor-in-autism-spectrum-disorders\/","title":{"rendered":"Minor in Autism Spectrum Disorders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) minor includes courses designed to build students\u2019 knowledge and skills related to (a) understanding the history, etiology, and characteristics of ASD; (b) conducting educational assessments of students with ASD; (c) developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs for students with ASD; and (d) collaborating with professionals and families in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs.<\/p>\n<p>This minor is open to all BU undergraduate students; however, it may be of particular interest to students intending to work in education, human services, medicine, or law.
