The MGP is a rigorous three-term program that provides students with core training in essential methods of policy analysis, contextual knowledge regarding global institutions and politics, and in-depth understanding of challenges and opportunities in their chosen specialization. Currently, the program offers specializations in Environmental Policy, Developmental Policy, and International Public Health Policy.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to coursework in their chosen specialization, students complete a set of universal requirements, including core courses on quantitative analysis, international economics, diplomacy and negotiation, and policy analysis, in addition to a capstone seminar in which research teams carry out projects typically contracted by real-world clients. They can also demonstrate expertise in a region by earning a graduate certificate through one of the Pardee School\u2019s regional centers and programs.<\/p>\n<p><em>The MGP is a joint offering of the <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardeeschool\/\"><em>Frederick S. Electives may be selected from any of the Pardee School\u2019s graduate-level course offerings. With the approval of the Associate Dean of Studies, electives may also be chosen from graduate-level coursework at other BU schools and colleges. Course selection should be made in consultation with an academic advisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Language Requirement<\/h2>\n<p>All students pursuing an MA in Global Policy are required to demonstrate graduate-level reading proficiency in a foreign language prior to completion of the degree.
