It simulates a real work environment through multiple client-facing business projects, team interactions, and business case discussions that are tightly integrated with courses. The course and project learning occur in four modules spread over nine months.<\/p>\n<h2>Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The MiM program develops graduates who:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Apply foundational business knowledge<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Are fluent <\/strong>in the language of business, <strong>familiar <\/strong>with common business practices, and can <strong>proficiently engage <\/strong>in strategy, finance, marketing, HR, innovation, and analytics discussions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Demonstrate SMART skills for effective collaboration<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Execute <\/strong>structured communication, active listening, project management, and interpersonal skills\u2014including empathy, respect, and curiosity\u2014to <strong>work effectively <\/strong>in diverse teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leverage SHARP skills for problem solving and decisionmaking <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evaluate <\/strong>and <strong>propose <\/strong>solutions to cross-disciplinary business challenges using inductive, deductive, creative, and lateral problem-solving approaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exhibit digital agility and data-driven decisionmaking<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Interpret <\/strong>data insights, <strong>deploy <\/strong>business applications, <strong>adapt <\/strong>to emerging technologies (including generative AI), and <strong>apply <\/strong>digital tools to business innovation and improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote customer-centric value creation<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Assess <\/strong>customer needs through segmentation, insights generation, and market analysis, and <strong>draft <\/strong>impactful business strategies and solutions that create value for stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Measure and deliver business impact<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evaluate <\/strong>and <strong>optimize<\/strong> the financial, customer, organizational, and human impact of business initiatives using data-driven methods and an understanding of ethical considerations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Continuously improve career-readiness skills and professional networks<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cultivate <\/strong>a professional network, <strong>build <\/strong>a personal brand, and <strong>strategically align <\/strong>career aspirations with business needs and personal passions.<span><\/span><span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h2>Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p>The MiM is a full-time, two-term, 36-unit program delivered in four 7-week modules. Students take core classes in cohorts during the program. The program has a fixed curriculum in the fall term and provides electives in the spring term. An academic advisor is available to answer any questions related to elective selection.<\/p>\n<p>Client projects comprise a sizable portion of the curriculum. During each module, students work in small teams on a corporate partner\u2019s real-world business challenge. Corporate partners are carefully curated to deliver challenges that build relevant skills and enhance student learning. Corporate partners also provide executive talks, the use of real case examples, and willingness to hire MiM graduates.<\/p>\n<p>Building career skills and support for job hunting are an important part of the program. A dedicated MiM career coach enables skill building through cohort-wide seminars, small group workshops, one-on-one coaching, and mock interviews. Grading in categories enables students to fully engage in the strong peer-to-peer and challenge-focused learning process without fear of failure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Honors (H)<\/strong> \u2013 Signifies that the student\u2019s performance exceeds the standards of competence in the course. <span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>High Pass (HP)<\/strong> \u2013 Indicates performance that has consistently demonstrated competence in the course, but not at the level necessary for Honors.<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pass (P)<\/strong> \u2013 <span>Demonstrates performance that meets the minimum requirements for competence. <\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fail (F)<\/strong> \u2013 For work that fails to consistently meet the minimum competence requirements.<\/p>\n<h3>Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/h3>\n<p>Students who successfully complete the program and earn the degree are expected to earn grades of High Pass (HP) or Honors (H) in the majority of their classes in each module. Student academic progress will be assessed against this standard at the end of each module by the MiM Program Development Committee (PDC). The review may result in a warning; academic probation with explicit expectations for improvement; or discontinuation from the program. Students who receive three or more Pass (P) grades or one Fail (F) grade in any module are subject to this review because they have not made sufficient academic progress.<\/p>\n<h3>STEM Designation<\/h3>\n<p>The US Department of Homeland Security has designated the Master in Management program at the Questrom School of Business a STEM-eligible degree program. International students with F-1 student status may apply for a 24-month extension of their 12-month Optional Practical Training (OPT) employment authorization.
