Submit to Creative Services; we will create Link Boxes (inline sidebars) that will house related links.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be consistent. <\/strong>Use the same style and tone across all sections of your Bulletin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Be thorough. <\/strong>The Bulletin is an unchangeable snapshot of a particular calendar year. <strong>N<\/strong><strong>o edits accepted\u00a0<\/strong>after April 22.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Style Standards<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Bulletin follows <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/brand\/guidelines\/editorial-style\/\">BU style standards<\/a>, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cBulletin\u201d, \u201cthe Bulletin\u201d (as in the name of this website\/document) is always capitalized.<\/li>\n<li>D<span>o not use \u201cOffice of\u201d in a department name, except when the office name is the title of the office holder, such as Office of the President, Office of the Provost, Office of the Registrar.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>Correct: Admissions office<\/li>\n<li>Incorrect: Office of Admissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Informal references to degrees are lowercased (&#8220;master&#8217;s degree&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li>Headlines should be formatted consistently to assist the reader, in descending order where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>For courses:\n<ul>\n<li>Course numbers need space: CAS PH 717 (not PH717).<\/li>\n<li>Use numerals for units: 8 (not eight).<\/li>\n<li>\u201cGraphic Design elective\u201d\u2014elective is lowercase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In grades (\u201cstudents must earn a B\u2013\u201d), please use an en dash.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Note: Find information about how to submit changes.
