The associations provide academic assistance and graduate school and career planning information as well as classroom films, speakers, and multimedia programs. Among the more active groups in recent years have been the undergraduate associations in classics (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/student-life\/uca\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/classics\/student-life\/uca\/\">UCA<\/a>), earth &amp; environment\u2019s Geological Society (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/earth\/education\/undergraduate\/bu-geological-society\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/earth\/education\/undergraduate\/bu-geological-society\/\">BUGS<\/a>), economics (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/econ\/students\/studentorgs\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/econ\/students\/studentorgs\/\">UEA<\/a>), history (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/history\/undergraduate-program\/resources\/student-organizations\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/history\/undergraduate-program\/resources\/student-organizations\/\">UHA<\/a>), psychological &amp; brain sciences (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/psych\/undergraduate\/upa\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/psych\/undergraduate\/upa\/\">UPA<\/a>), physics (<a href=\"http:\/\/physics.bu.edu\/photon\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/physics.bu.edu\/photon\/\">Photon<\/a>), and<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/philo\/community\/clubs-and-reading-groups\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/philo\/undergraduate-students\/upa\/\">philosophy<\/a>. These committees include the CAS Academic Conduct Committee and the Academic Policy and Curriculum Committees. Interested students should contact the CAS Undergraduate Academic Program office (<a href=\"mailto:casuap@bu.edu\" data-gc-link=\"mailto:casuap@bu.edu\">casuap@bu.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3>CAS Dean\u2019s Hosts<\/h3>\n<p>The Dean\u2019s Hosts are a selected group of students dedicated to serving the College of Arts &amp; Sciences community and representing the Dean\u2019s Office. An integral component of Spring Open House, these CAS ambassadors are also granted frequent opportunities to develop their communication, leadership, and networking skills throughout the year. The College of Arts &amp; Sciences Dean\u2019s Hosts<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/deanshost\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/deanshost\/\">website<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>provides more information.<\/p>\n<h3>CAS Student Government<\/h3>\n<p>The<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/casprograms\/\" data-gc-link=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/casprograms\/\">CAS Student Government<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>is an elected body that acts as a liaison between students, faculty, and administration and works toward optimizing the CAS student experience. The members deal with student affairs issues that CAS students raise, ranging from problems with unit hours for classes to online registration for certain majors. In addition to allocating funding to student organizations, the CAS Student Government also sponsors a host of popular activities such as Celtics Night and Coffee at Finals.<\/p>\n<h3>CAS Peer Mentors<\/h3>\n<p>The CAS Peer Mentors are a selected group of students who voluntarily serve as role models and valuable resources to CAS first-year students. Thoroughly trained in counseling and advising techniques, the Peer Mentors are tasked with easing the transition of the newest members of the CAS community through FY101.
